(More customer reviews)No one has reviewed this item, so I feel it is worth mentioning that these are great sleeves for Magic the Gathering! If you like seeing the back of a magic card when your cards are face down yet feel the need to protect them, these sleeves have a much nicer appearance than the official Magic backed sleeves. The sleeve material is not penny sleeve material (very thin); these sleeves are as thick as you would expect an artwork sleeve to be. The sleeves slide nicely for shuffling as well. There are SIXTY sleeves in the pack! Now, if you lose a sleeve, you are still out of luck, but I think sixty is far better than the fifty sleeves that come in most packs even though Magic decks may be required to have sixty cards. If you are concerned enough to consider buying two packs in case you lose some sleeves, the investment is probably worth it. The sleeves seem very durable enough to me that I plan to use them for a very long time.
Here are the two cons I have found since purchasing these sleeves:
1. The glossiness of the sleeve fades after about one game with good shuffling. It doesn't make the sleeve unattractive or obscure the card through the sleeve, it just means that if you or your opponent are paying attention to detail, and you need to swap one of your older clear sleeves for a brand new one, the new sleeve will stand out for a game or two as "the glossy sleeve". In other words, you almost have to break these sleeves in.
2. The full ramification of being able to see the back of the actual card through the sleeve didn't hit me until I actually sleeved a deck, so this is a heads up: Artwork and colored sleeves not only hide the back of the actual card, they hide any damage or marking to the back of the card as well. When you use these clear sleeves, in order for all cards in your deck to look identical when facing down, the backs of your cards MUST be in mint or identical condition. No scratches, no wear, and no writing on the back of your card would be allowed if you used these sleeves for an official tournament. I had a to work to find lands that were not worn, but my other cards were in good condition. If your cards are out of shape much, these might not be the best sleeves for you. They also might not be the best sleeves for you if you've grown accustomed to sleeving certain cards upside down (as a sideboard tactic for instance). Your opponent will be looking at those cards upside down as well (And in your Magic deck, uniform facing is a rules requirement).
Overall, if you desire a pack of clear sleeves, I can think of none better to purchase. This is a great product and I highly recommend it.
